We generally recommend children come in around the age of three, unless they are having specific issues. We love seeing children and offer fun flavors for teeth cleaning as well as a treasure chest of toys to choose from after their visit. We also hold a no-cavities contest each quarter to reward children for good at-home dental care. It’s important that children start good habits early, and we look forward to having your child become part of the Summit Dental family!

Yes, we offer 4 different types of bleaching. We have Custom made bleach trays, Opalescence teeth Whitening System, Quick Pro and The Zoom.  For those who prefer to whiten at home, that would be either the Opalescence Whitening System or the Custom Trays. For in the office Whitening, it would be either the Zoom or the Quick Pro. All work fine with professional systems yield amazing results. Though patients generally find that the in-office procedure provides results that are instantly visible. The at-home whitening trays, while still providing excellent results, might take up to a week to be noticeable.

Dr. Trujillo can administer nitrous oxide to help anxious patients relax during dental procedures. Nitrous oxide is an excellent choice as it leaves the body almost immediately afterward. This means that patients can drive themselves home and return to their normal routine right away. For those patients who need just a bit more relaxation, we may prescribe a medication, which patients can take before their visit. These patients will need to make arrangements for transportation to and from our office.

Prevention is key when it comes to your oral health. With routine examinations and cleanings, we can identify problems while they are still small and easier to fix. Without regular visits, you might find that small problems grow into big problems that are much more difficult and expensive to address. In addition, good oral health contributes to good health overall. It’s important to take care of your teeth and gums!
